Photomatix has been probably the best recent software for HDR photography. HDRsoft (program developers) gave me a license for free. If you are not sure what HDR exactly is, lets have a look on my HDR shots on Photomatix site or on Fotopedia.
WnSoft develop "Pictures to Exe", great software for creating slideshows with pictures & music. They gave me a license for free. You can see one of my slideshows made with this software on Youtube.
